Emotional Harmony Qigong

Our deepest healing occurs when our physical, mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual aspects are affected. In Emotional Harmony Qigong, we employ meridians and acupoints, movement, and meditation, and the senses (colors, sounds, smells) to cleanse the body and psyche and nourish it positively.

To facilitate the transformational process, you may choose to do journaling and art processes.

Mahalo to our teachers of "Six Healing Sounds", Mantak Chia, Suzanne Friedman, and Gilles Marin.

Aloha Chi Kung

Aloha for Kaleo, means: 'alo in the heart of the universe, ,the breath of the Sacred, the infinite source. This breath infuses all realms – of minerals, plants, animals, humans, and the stars. It's in the heart of the universe beyond and the universe within.

"Many years ago, at dawn, on the Big Island of Hawai'i, Elise and I were doing ceremony at Halema’uma’u crater - near Pāhala, where my mother’s family is from. In the morning light, we watched as the koa’e kea (white-tailed tropic bird) spiraled above us. In awe, we witnessed her prayer in motion and we began to dance in rhythm with the bird and the pulse of the ‘āina (earth). The presence of my blood ancestors and of Mother Earth inspired us, thus giving birth to the Aloha Qigong."

The Aloha Qigong is a way to enter sacred ritual or healing ceremony and employs movement, voice, and intention to open and prepare the three Dan Tians (energy centers): the mind for receptivity to Divine Inspiration; the heart for intimacy with the Divine; the body as a vessel for sharing our sacredness with others.

Ē ke Akua, O Divine, source of all life:
Inspire us and open our vessels of creation and light.
As we savor the fragrance of Mother Earth,
help us to release what harms us,
and guide us in loving ourselves and others.
Fill us with your radiance, the breath of aloha, and the blessings of Gaia,
as we cleanse and nourish, cleanse and nourish,
in grace, wisdom, and love.
‘Āmama, ua noa (Our prayer is said and we rest in the intimacy of aloha. We release our prayer into the open heart of the Sacred.)

'eli 'eli kau kākou (May reverence and awe descend upon us.)

Embodied Qigong Lord’s Prayer (Abba-Imma)

Speaking in chorus with the 2,000 year old utterance of the “Lord's Prayer” and moving in harmony in Qigong, an ancient Taoist practice grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine, this embodied Qigong Lord's Prayer blends Judeo-Christian and Daoist/Chinese Medicine wisdom and compassion,

The embodied Qigong Lord's prayer invokes and honors Abba (Father) and Imma (Mother). It enhances our intimacy with the breath of the divine beyond, within, and in all realms - minerals, plants, animals, humans and stars. It is founded on the teachings of the past, engages the witnessing awareness of the now, and sparks the creative potential reaching toward what is yet to come. It harmonizes the triadic synergy of body, psyche, and spirit.

Mahalo, in gratitude, to Reverend Steve Harms of Peace Lutheran Church, Danville, Ca, for this insightful and historically grounded wording of the Lord’s Prayer.

Abba-Father, Imma-Mother

We open towards the light of the heavens and welcome your Divine Radiance.

In Heaven, holy be your name

These words echo within - the Sacred resonating in our hearts.

Your reign come

Reign is a state of being, a deep knowing that the Divine Essence is within.

Your yearning be done, on earth as it is in heaven

Here we release expectation, so that the soul’s yearning surrenders to and becomes one with the Mother/Father God's yearning; this yearning is reciprocal, the yearning to connect and ultimately merge through the power of Love.

Give us this day the bread we need

We ask for no more than what we need. We ask for this for each one, for all of us. Bread is shelter, food, the gifts of Mother Earth. Bread is love, friends, community. Bread is creativity, ideas, awe and passion to share our sacredness in the world.

Forgive us our wrongs

As we allow our hearts to open, we find the unconditional love of the Father/Mother forgiving us.

As we forgive those who have wronged us

Within the tender womb of the heart, we feel the embrace of the Divine Unconditional Love and offer acceptance and forgiveness to others.

Guide us through life’s trials

Nobody escapes the trials of life. By being intimate with the divine Father/Mother, we find guidance and support.

Shelter us all from evil

Evil is separation from soul, the true self. The shelter of the Sacred protects us, not only from separation, but also from despair, bitterness, from becoming broken by life. This shelter of unconditional love blesses us with kindness, hope, with strength and endurance.

In your grace, wisdom, and love

Divine Grace blesses and sustains us, Divine Wisdom guides us with its intelligence and consciousness. Divine Love embraces us all in sacred union.

Now and forever

In the sacred Womb of Creation, our souls are eternal, are one with the breath of God.

Amen

Now we rest in the intimacy of the love. We release our prayer into the open hands and heart of the Divine Father-Mother.

Qigong Sun Meditation

Qigong Sun Meditation is an ancient Taoist practice that brings sunlight into your mind center, where reside the pituitary, pineal, and hypothalamus glands. It stimulates production of serotonin, the “happy hormone,” and conversion of serotonin to melatonin at night for restful sleep. It regulates your body’s sleeping and waking cycles and brings you an overall sense of happiness and well-being.

Mahalo to Channel 28, Rossmoor Television, Walnut Creek, CA. Recorded in 2020

Spiraling Dragon Qigong

Spiraling Dragon Qigong practices help open and lubricate joints, prevent repetitive stress injuries, and bring enhanced comfort to your body. They stimulate the organ-meridian system of energy in your body and activate special acupressure points for self-healing and wellness. Breath and postural awareness helps to build energy and immune system and prevent back and knee problems. Meditative movement promotes inner harmony. Kaleo and Elise have taught this form for LucasFilm, Industrial Light & Magic, Google/YouTube, Universidad Transpersonal (Mexico), and other venues nationally and internationally.

Tiger’s Breath Chi Kung

Tiger’s Breath Chi Kung harvests Cosmic Chi (life force), deepens your inner wisdom, and promotes harmony on physical, energetic, psychological, and spiritual levels. It engages the body’s physiologic and organ-meridian systems, boosts the immune system, and promotes strength and flexibility. Its fluid rhythms cultivate, circulate, store, and transmit Chi to facilitate healing.
